DESCRIPTION

A demonstration trail is planned to highlight the beauty and potential of the Norwalk River Valley Trail in Danbury. The section shown here is near where the first phase will begin. With funding secured through the City of Danbury and CT DOT, the NRVT is working closely with local officials to begin construction in early 2026.

This ‘Tarrywile Demo Trail’ will introduce the NRVT to the Danbury community, running through Tarrywile Park — Connecticut’s largest municipal park — and continuing to its planned endpoint at Rogers Park in downtown Danbury. This project marks an exciting step toward bringing the NRVT into the heart of the city.
